Sonia is the empathetic and spiritual founder of Namaste City, a platform dedicated to fostering community and spreading knowledge. Having struggled in the chaotic and competitive environment of New York City while studying engineering, Sonia searched for a safe and balanced space where she could challenge herself and discover her true self. It was during this process that she fell in love with yoga, eventually obtaining her 200-hour yoga teacher certification.

For years, Sonia grappled with finding fulfillment in her life. It wasn’t until she engaged in extensive reading and internal self-reflection that she discovered her passion for connecting with others. This realization was the driving force behind the creation of Namaste City and her subsequent podcast, “No More Distractions.” Through her work, Sonia is dedicated to helping others find their own path towards a more balanced and fulfilling life.

With her engineering background, Sonia possesses strong problem-solving skills, which she now uses to help others navigate the ever-evolving landscape of New York City. Her expertise in Affordable Development and Construction allows her to advocate for positive change in the city’s high-cost living environment. As a certified yoga teacher and spiritual leader, Sonia’s work promotes community, mindfulness, and self-discovery.

Sonia founded “Namaste City” in order to spread with others what helped her create a more balanced Lifestyle, a healthy Mindset, and a supportive Community. 

Specifically, a more balanced lifestyle can involve mindful eating and physical movement. Maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle is crucial for optimal physical and mental well-being. It can help prevent chronic diseases, boost immunity, improve cognitive function, and enhance overall quality of life. By prioritizing healthy habits such as regular exercise, nutritious eating, and adequate sleep, we can achieve greater productivity, happiness, and longevity.

Cultivating a healthy mindset is essential for personal growth and well-being. Practicing positivity and focusing on gratitude can help us find confidence and a sense of purpose in life. Through this platform, she shares her vulnerability and discusses various spiritual with experts around the of topics mindfulness, healthy mind and body, hypnosis, ethical fashion, and sound healing, among others. The podcast aims to provide a space for individuals to connect, learn, and grow together, and to foster a sense of community around these topics.

About the things she loves

“I love change and exploring new places. For me, I always want to find the coolest local spots and feel what it would be to live at the place I am visiting. I have been enjoying more and more the outdoor activity, the challenges it comes with it, and the fresh air. I do love me some beach bum days under the shiny rays and reading a self-exploration book. I always try to keep a consistent yoga practice – even if that ends up being an average of 1 hour a week on my mat. Finally, nothing beats my morning and night routines.” Sonia
